WorkAid

Terms of use

Private beta · Last updated May 25, 2026

1. Private beta

WorkAid is in private beta. It is available only to invited users. Features may change, be removed, or become unavailable without advance notice. Data may be migrated or restructured during the beta period. Do not rely on WorkAid as your sole record-keeping system for your claim.

2. California workers' compensation focus

WorkAid is an organizational tool designed for California workers' compensation claims. It is not designed for, and should not be used for, claims in other states, employment disputes, personal injury lawsuits, or any other legal matter outside California workers' compensation.

3. No legal advice

WorkAid is not a law firm. Nothing in the app — including the dashboard, timeline, claim status snapshot, suggested tracking items, or any other feature — constitutes legal advice. Do not rely on WorkAid to make legal decisions about your claim.

4. No medical advice

WorkAid is not a medical provider. Nothing in the app constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations. Consult a licensed physician for medical decisions related to your injury and recovery.

5. No attorney-client relationship

Using WorkAid does not create an attorney-client relationship between you and WorkAid or anyone associated with WorkAid. If you need legal representation, contact a licensed workers' compensation attorney.

6. No representation

WorkAid does not represent you before the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board, with any insurance carrier, with any employer, or in any proceeding. WorkAid is an organizational tool only.

7. No guarantees

WorkAid makes no guarantee regarding the outcome of your claim, the benefits you may receive, the accuracy of any deadline displayed, any settlement value, or any other claim result. Claim outcomes depend on facts, law, and circumstances entirely outside WorkAid's control and knowledge.

WorkAid is not responsible for missed deadlines. Confirm all claim deadlines independently with a licensed workers' compensation attorney, the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board, or a qualified claims administrator. Do not rely on WorkAid as your only source of deadline information.

8. Your responsibilities

By using WorkAid, you agree to:

  • Review all information you enter into WorkAid for accuracy. WorkAid displays what you enter — it cannot verify whether it is correct.
  • Confirm all claim deadlines independently with a qualified professional. Do not rely solely on information displayed in WorkAid.
  • Consult a licensed workers' compensation attorney, treating physician, or qualified claims administrator for decisions about your claim, medical treatment, or legal rights.
  • Review, edit, and personally send any communications you draft using WorkAid. WorkAid does not send communications on your behalf.

9. Message drafting

WorkAid includes a message drafting feature to help you prepare written communications related to your claim. This feature provides drafting support only. WorkAid does not automatically send any message, email, or letter.

You are solely responsible for reviewing any draft before sending it, and for the accuracy, tone, and effect of any message you choose to send. WorkAid makes no representation that any draft message will achieve a particular outcome.

10. Uploaded documents

You are responsible for all documents you upload to WorkAid. By uploading a file, you represent that you have the right to store that file in your account. Do not upload documents belonging to others without authorization. Do not upload files that contain false information.

WorkAid is not responsible for errors or inaccuracies in documents you upload.

11. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use WorkAid for any unlawful purpose.
  • Upload or enter data that you do not have the right to use.
  • Attempt to access another user's account or data.
  • Interfere with or disrupt WorkAid's systems or infrastructure.
  • Use WorkAid to store or transmit malicious code.

12. Account security

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. Do not share your password. If you believe your account has been accessed without your authorization, contact us at beta@workaidapp.com immediately.

13. Beta changes and availability

WorkAid is in active development. Features may be added, changed, or removed at any time. Access may be paused or limited during the beta for maintenance, testing, or capacity reasons. We will make reasonable efforts to communicate significant changes, but cannot guarantee advance notice of every change during the beta period.

14. Pricing and subscription

WorkAid is currently free to access during the private beta. We may introduce paid plans in the future. Beta access does not constitute a promise of free access after the beta period ends. We will provide reasonable notice before introducing pricing that affects existing users.

15. Limitation of liability

WorkAid is provided as-is during the private beta. To the extent permitted by applicable law, WorkAid and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app — including missed deadlines, claim outcomes, decisions made in reliance on information in WorkAid, or data loss.

In plain terms: WorkAid is an organizational tool. Decisions about your claim, your medical care, and your legal rights are yours to make — with qualified professionals as needed. WorkAid is not responsible for those decisions or their consequences.

16. Termination and access restriction

We may suspend or terminate your access to WorkAid if you violate these terms, for technical or legal reasons, or if the beta program ends or changes significantly. You may close your account at any time by contacting us at beta@workaidapp.com.
